HAWK.ch, an e-commerce platform specializing in affordable consumer goods and electronics, operates as a prominent online marketplace in Central Switzerland. We were approached by the client when he encountered a significant challenge in managing multiple web stores serving the Swiss and Liechtenstein markets from a centralized location in the Czech Republic. The complexity of handling one backend side and four front-end store views affected the client s ability to support and enhance the platforms efficiently to keep pace with ever-evolving market demands.

Initially, the client sought our expertise to support and enhance their web stores by implementing new features. After two years of collaboration, the client made the strategic decision to migrate from Magento 1 (M1) to Magento 2 (M2) to ensure the long-term viability and scalability of their e-commerce platform. During the migration process, we recommended utilizing the Claue theme for Magento, coupled with performance optimization measures, to enhance the user experience and streamline website functionality. Additionally, we proposed integrating Amasty modules based on client requirements and deploying a strategy to host the four store views on separate servers, aiming to improve overall performance.

The migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2, coupled with the implementation of the Claue theme and performance optimization measures, marked a significant milestone in enhancing HAWK.ch s e-commerce platform. The adoption of Amasty modules and the deployment of separate servers for each store view have further improved website functionality and performance. These strategic initiatives have enabled the client to better support and serve their customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, ensuring a seamless and efficient online shopping experience.
