Building a Social Media Platform to Boost Intel’s Gaming Community Engagement

The end user, Intel, reached out to us through a sub-contracting company to collaborate on a new social media entertainment venture. The main objectives of the client were to enhance community engagement (1), create widgets tailored to video sharing (3), and foster social interaction within the community (3), with a particular focus on Intel’s gaming community on the platform. The primary aim was to boost platform traffic through video sharing and contribute to gaming community-building activities on the platform.

We developed a user-friendly web application featuring responsive static designs for both web and mobile platforms. After a thorough analysis of the client’s primary objectives, we addressed the dynamic nature of the page following comprehensive rules that dictated content appearance, adapting the design elements accordingly. We also performed thorough code refactoring to optimize the performance and maintenance of the application, ensuring a streamlined and efficient code base.

Ultimately, the client received a functional platform for social media challenges and engagement, allowing them to create user-generated content at scale. Our application of Vue JS front-end logic enabled seamless communication between the front- and back end. This allowed for content to be submitted, uploaded, and moderated in one closed system. Additionally, we facilitated the exchange of data through APIs, enhancing the overall responsiveness and optimal user experience of the application. Later on, an altered version of the application was implemented by Fortune 500 companies for their own competition, rewards, and community-building purposes.
