Building a Smart Real Estate Marketplace for Brokers and Clients
problem
Our client, a real estate brokerage in the UK, sought to develop a digital marketplace that would streamline connections between property owners, managed providers, and managed bolt-on partners with brokers, making it easier to find various types of office spaces and present them to their end clients. Our client wanted to act fast to capitaloze on this opportunity, as there was no usable platform that supported managed properties, as well as existing solutions lacked useful features that property owners and brokers were looking for.

solution
Within days, our team began development and laid the project foundation. A week later, the client saw the first iteration, with new features and improvements added weekly through close collaboration and ongoing feedback. Key differentiators included an easy-to-use property requirement definition tool, real-time notifications for new properties matching criteria, and a simple CRM that enabled brokers to manage client offers and communications. The platform API was built with Next.js, utilizing TypeScript for efficiency and maintainability. Supabase handled registration, authorization, and authentication, among other features. Mapbox GL ensured high-performance mapping and customization capabilities.

The client was impressed with the speed and quality of the work, noting visible progress each week, and appreciated our team’s flexibility and LEAN mindset. But even perfect projects don’t start without a hitch. Shortly after launch, the platform suddenly experienced an issue where registration and password reset emails were not being delivered to MS 365 users, hindering the initial user onboarding. We remained calm, quickly identified the external causes, and swiftly implemented adjustments on our side, solving an issue that even seasoned Microsoft Azure experts struggled with. The client was thrilled with the quick resolution, expressing their gratitude and satisfaction with the outcome. Key Takeaway: When things go sideways, we never panic. We analyze, solve, and deliver - no excuses, just results.
