Revolutionizing Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Nutanix's HCI Solutions
problem
Our client Nutanix stands as a leading enterprise cloud company, renowned for its hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) appliances and software-defined storage solutions. Despite Nutanix's innovative approach of combining company servers into scalable private clouds, challenges persisted with physical servers, including high costs, limited scalability, and security concerns. To tackle these issues, Nutanix aimed to develop hybrid cloud solutions that seamlessly integrated on-premise servers with various cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. This endeavor marked a significant challenge for the company, necessitating a robust infrastructure and software service provider to aid in the transition.

solution
Nutanix approached us with a task to migrate its solutions and to develop a new hyper-converged infrastructure solution, enabling cluster creation on AWS without the need for a physical data center. This new revolutionary approach would provide unparalleled flexibility, allowing end-users to build clusters across different cloud platforms, transcending dependence on any single provider. Our team played a pivotal role in developing key components of Nutanix's cluster product, including Papiea, an orchestration solution, and BMaaS (Bare Metal as a Service), facilitating Azure bare metal services integration.

In addition to these core components, our collaboration extended to other Nutanix products, such as File Analytics, a solution designed to analyze and manage sensitive data within Nutanix clusters. Our involvement spans backend development, UI dashboards, and the migration of this solution to the cloud. Some of our collaborative solutions are open-sourced, empowering organizations to build independent data centers and harness the benefits of hybrid and multi-cloud computing architectures.
