Building an Intuitive E-commerce Platform for a Leading British Fashion Discounter

We were approached with a project to build a website from scratch for the largest British fashion discounter. The client’s objective was to create an intuitive user-friendly platform design including custom UI/UX and multiple integrations for easy payment management systems. The main challenge for the team was the need to develop a solution for importing and exchanging data through a third-party custom connector.

The client’s objective was to create an intuitive user-friendly platform design including custom UI/UX and multiple integrations for easy payment management systems. The main challenge for the team was the need to develop a solution for importing and exchanging data through a third-party custom connector.
solution
As part of the solution, we were responsible for the full scope of the design and development of the site framework. It was also essential to integrate specific client designs in adherence to their strict brand book for their bespoke theme. The client predefined a custom module for making payments (WorldPay) that required complete custom integration of the Y2 POS system and adjustments to the final site design. The project scope included a complex system for setting up filters, customizing the cart, and order checkout.

To reach the client’s objectives our team developed 4 SOAPs and technical decisions to automatically check the success of data import and its subsequent processing on the Magento side. We also ensured the synchronization of the third-party connector and Magento, overcoming one of the most important challenges of the project. Original front-end solutions were also found for the flexible display of numerous product attributes, and various price offers, taking into account UX/UI optimization and the client’s custom theme design.
